CABI is improving people’s lives worldwide by solving problems in agriculture and the environment by creating and curating knowledge. CABI recognises that good quality, more open data is an integral part of achieving this goal. The CABI CKAN Data Repository is built on open source, free software which provides a website for uploading and accessing agricultural and environmental datasets. In conjunction with the Open Data Kit (ODK), researchers can collect data directly into the repository, where it can also be cleaned, visualised and downloaded for further analysis. Basic guidelines for standards and formatting can be found here. If you feel you have data you would like to contribute, or would like to discuss the ODK data collection functionality of the site contact the CABI Digital Development team at t.beale@cabi.org for more information.
