Evidence that a major subpopulation of fall armyworm found in the Western Hemisphere is rare or absent in Africa – may limit crops that are at risk of infestation

Dataset showing the locations of collected FAW samples. Samples collected from different regions were used to analyse strain type of FAW, which can be used to infer what crops are at risk. Samples were collected via pheromone traps (male adults) and field collections (mixed unknown sex).
